The NSK bearing said preload method mainly in the bearing mounting process will be used in the method. Bearing applications environment, installation and prediction method is different.
Pretensioner means NSK bearing loaded so that a certain amount of pre-deformation between the rolling elements and raceways, so that all the rolling bodies in uniformly compressed state. NSK bearing preload, to achieve the purpose of improve the rotational accuracy, stiffness, longevity, damping and reduce vibration and noise.
When the ball bearings are generally axial position preload or axial constant pressure preload. In the same pre-load, constant pressure preload is not a significant increase in the axial stiffness of the support system, position preload, shaft and ferrule thermal deformation will affect the amount of preload changes. General requirements for high stiffness should adopt the position preload. High-speed operation, high precision rotation, and to prevent slippage of rolling elements, should be used to the constant pressure preload.
Preload is too large, will increase the the NSK bearing friction, wear and temperature rise, reduce the noise bearing and grease life, bearing damage. Therefore is very important to select the appropriate preload. In general, high-speed light load conditions, or to improve the rotational accuracy of occasions, should choose a light preload. Medium speed, load or low-speed heavy load conditions, for the purpose to improve the support stiffness should be selected in pretension or heavy preload.
