NRG Systems Introduces IceFree Hybrid XT Turbine Control Sensor

NRG Systems, a manufacturer of wind measurement equipment, has introduced its IceFree Hybrid XT turbine control sensor designed to provide longer bearing life and improved vane response characteristics, according to the company.

The company says the new sensor is suitable for all weather conditions, including for offshore wind projects. It incorporates protected bearings to guard against dirt and dust, a twin-tail vane design for better performance in off-axis winds, patent-pending magnetic damping for improved stability and accuracy, and enhanced heating properties, according to the company.
