Ningbo made reactor pressure vessel seal ring to be used in Chashma Nuclear Power Plant

Ningbo Tiansheng Sealing Packing Co., Ltd announced that 20 sets of reactor pressure vessel seal rings, nearly 4 meters in diameter, had been put in packing boxes for deliver yesterday. These seal rings will be used in Chashma Nuclear Power Plant in Pakistan. This is the first time that domestic pressure vessel rings are exported to foreign countries.

According to Li Xinggen, General Manager of Ningbo Tiansheng Sealing Packing Co., Ltd, these products are key parts of the nuclear safety class-1 equipment, which will be installed between the cylinder flange and top flange of the reactor pressure vessel. 

As an important guaranty to avoid leakage of radioactive materials when the reactor pressure vessel is in operation or test conditions, the sealing performance is directly related to the normal operation of nuclear power plant.
