New REALI-SLIM® Bearing Catalog Introduces Higher Ratings
KAYDON® Corporation Bearings Division has released a new edition of its REALI-SLIM® thin-section bearings catalog (Catalog 300) with higher dynamic capacity ratings for REALI-SLIM® thin-section bearings. The ratings are based on a new calculation methodology that improves the accuracy of bearing life projections and results in longer life projections for many REALI-SLIM® bearings than previously-published figures... in some cases, five times longer.
The new methodology goes beyond the calculations traditionally used by bearing manufacturers by integrating them with actual test results. It was developed specifically for thin-section bearings, which save optimize space and save weight in many demanding applications, including semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace/defense, medical devices, industrial equipment, and food processing.
Catalog 300 features seven open and five sealed bearing series, including Type "C" for pure radial loads, "A" for radial and thrust loading, and "X" for combinations of radial, thrust and moment loading on a single bearing. The catalog introduces seven new sizes and for the first time includes REALI-SLIM TT® (TM) compact turntable bearings and REALI-SLIM MM® (TM) metric series bearings.
Sizing charts guide engineers through the preliminary selection of standard, metric or stainless steel REALI-SLIM® bearings. An application worksheet is also included, which readers can complete and fax to KAYDON Bearings Division for a free, customized application engineering review and bearing recommendation.
