Nelson Fastener Systems acquires Massachusetts company
Nelson Fastener Systems of Elyria has acquired TOG Manufacturing Co. of North Adams, Mass., according to a news release.
Financial details, including the price of the acquisition and sales at the companies, are not being released. Kelly Foos, marketing manager for Nelson Fastener, said TOG has 36 employees. Nelson Fastener had close to 860 employees across the world before the acquisition.
Nelson Fastener is a family of companies that is a division of UK-based Doncasters Group Ltd. It makes fasteners and fastener system components for a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive and industrial, the release stated.
TOG makes and distributes precision machine parts from specialty fasteners to valve components for industries like ship-building and power generation. The release stated that TOG’s name, location and staff all will be maintained.
