Recently, in the Cold Rolling Sheet Plant of Baosteel Co.Ltd. , the reporter learns that the pulling-straightening roll which uses nano spray coating technology has been successfully used in the plant's pickling line,saving the coat of more than 490,000 yuan annually. It is also the first time that the nano coating pulling-straightening roll is successfully applied to Baosteel Cold Rolling.
The pulling-straightening roll is mainly used for eliminating strip defects and improve the strip shape,playing an important role on the strip quality. Due to the special working conditions of pulling-straightening roll of Cold Rolling Pickling Line, during the actual production, the surface of pulling-straightening roll is usually worn quickly, severely affecting the life-span and pulling-straightening effects, which makes the productivity fail to get further improvement. The life-span of pulling-straightening roll in the Pickling Line of Cold Rolling Sheet Plant is usually within 5-7 days, which will be worn out after grinding 4-5 times. To increase the life-span, reduce the roll changing times and lower the spare part cost, Cold Rolling Sheet Plant starts the R&D for prolonging life-span of pulling-straightening roll last August and finally specify nano coating roll as research direction.
The nano spray coating technology used for nano coating pulling-straightening roll is improved and detailed on the basis of traditional coating technology. Baosteel learns from the organizations that master the nano spray coating technology and make most of the potential coating performance through the optimized design of coating materials and structure as well as processing control, which helps nano coating roll realize the optimization of multiple performance indexes. Meanwhile, Baosteel researches and masters the packaged technology of nano coating roll on-line application, and finally forms the relative innovations with intellectual property rights. Nano coating pulling-straightening roll is put into production and achieves stable application this March.
It is reported that compared with traditional pulling-straightening roll, the wear-resisting property of nano coating pulling-straightening roll surface is highly improved. According to the effective estimation, its on-line working time doubles and working times increase 6 times, reducing the roll changing time,lowering the roll surface repairing cost and improving the quality of roll box and supporting roll. Therefore, using nano coating pulling-straightening roll can save the coat of more than 490,000 yuan annually.
