Metcar grades M-161 and M-162 Materials for High-Temperature Bearings

These unique Babbitt Impregnated materials are designed to operate in difficult environments where conventional lubricating methods cannot be used. These Babbitt Impregnated materials provide excellent wear resistance and enhanced lubrication for High-Temperature Bearings and thrust washers for submerged and dry environments.

Self- Lubricating Bearings ideal for high-temperatures

Operating at temperatures up to 350˚ F these Babbitt Impregnated materials are unrivaled for Self-Lubricating Bearings in submerged low viscosity fluids such as water and fuels. For dry environments these Babbitt impregnated materials provide excellent oil free lubrication at high temperatures. These Metcar grades are typically utilized for moderate loads at medium and high speeds. Designed to provide maximum lubrication, Self -Lubricating Bearings manufactured from these materials are low in friction and will not score the mating shaft.

Self-Lubricated Bearings manufactured from Metcar Babbitt Impregnatedmaterials are non-galling, dimensionally stable and have high compressive strength. Boasting excellent lubricating qualities and long life, these materials are completely homogenous and provide continuous lubrication for their service life, making them an excellent candidate for High-Temperature Bearings, bearing assemblies and mechanical components.
