LYC announced the development of supporting bearing for the world's largest single-aperture radio telescope

The main construction of the world's largest single-aperture radio telescope -- 500-meter aperture spherical radio telescope (FAST) located in Pingtang, Guizhou was successfully completed on July 3, 2016.

It is reported that LYC developed the supporting bearings for the project based on the specific requirements of the customer, which were used in the core components of "FAST".

FAST is designed with an area equivalent to 30 football fields thus broke the limit of one hundred meters. Compared with the so-called "Ground largest machine" Germany-made 100-m telescope "Bonn", FAST's sensitivity has been increased by about 10 times. It will maintain the world-class status in the next 10-20 years.

LYC's successful supporting solution once again proves its technical and manufacturing strength.
