China on Monday successfully launched the manned spacecraft Shenzhou-11 that will dock with the space lab Tiangong-2.

The bearings installed in the rocket turbine pump were designed and manufactured by Luoyang Science and Technology Research and Development Co., Ltd.

According to an official of Luoyang Science and Technology Research and Development Co., Ltd, turbine pump is a key component of liquid fuel rocket engine, used to send the fuel and oxidant into the engine combustion chamber. Bearings are the core components for supporting and rotating for a turbo pump, thus are required of very high reliability when rotating at extremely high speeds to withstand large axial loads.

In order to meet these requirements, Luoyang Science and Technology Research and Development Co., Ltd has carried out in-depth research and experiment in many aspects such as bearing raw materials, design, manufacturing, lubrication, etc. for many years, made breakthroughs in many key technologies and mastered the core technology of turbo pump bearings.
