Lubrication System Provides Benefits for Nestle
Nestle is enjoying the benefits of pro-active maintenance at its Halifax site after contracting Rocol Lubricants to manage lubrication at the plant. Rocol has implemented its Rocolcare programme at the production site, which, according to Nestle, has seen lubrication-related equipment failures fall by between 20 and 25%.
Part of the programme involves the employment of a dedicated, full-time Rocol service engineer on site, whose role is to manage lubrication maintenance throughout the plant.
Regular meetings between the Rocol Account Manager, On Site Service Engineer and Nestle Project Engineer, Stephen Pollitt, keep the lubrication management programme on track, and weekly Service Engineer reports enable him to readily monitor machine performance across the site.
This regular reporting structure has the added benefit of quickly flagging up potential problems and - more importantly, according to Pollitt - coming up with solutions to avoid costly machine downtime.
He says that this pro-active approach from Rocol has paid dividends at the Halifax site: 'Rocol's forward thinking approach has really impressed us, and we will certainly be renewing their contract based on our positive experiences over the last ten months'.'They are very keen to get closely involved with the business and work with us to get the best results'.'They're constantly coming up with new ideas and pro-actively suggesting improvements that will benefit the business and we are certainly seeing great results'.
The in-house service engineering facility was introduced two years ago as part of the Rocolcare programme to help customers gain maximum benefit from both Foodlube and Rocolcare and optimise their lubricant spend and usage.
