Longxing Steel Ball Rank First in Export
During the period of Tenth Five-Year Plan(2001-2005), Xichang Longxing Steel Ball Factory had produced 98,000 tons of steel balls, earning foreign exchange of USD76 million. Statistics showed that the company ranked first in exporting steel balls.
"Longxing" is the factory's registered brand. The productive craft for Longxing steel ball have won national invention patent. Checked by Ministry of Metallurgy Industry, Longxing steel ball has reached world advanced level in rigidity, punch resistance and other properties. In 2001, Scientific Achievements Management Office Ministry of Science & Technology of China released articles recommending the steel ball to domestic enterprises in mining, building, chemical industries and power plants.
Now, output of Longxing ball is 25,000 tons, 85 percent of which are produced for exporting to over ten countries including South Africa, Australia, Indonesia. Demand for the ball exceed supply.
To meet the increasing requirements in the market, the factory, under great support by the local government, are expected to carry out transformation to expand production. It is estimated that by 2010 their annual output will hit 100,000 tons, foreign exchange income exceed USD60 million, total output value reach RMB500 million, creating RMB20 million tax payment.
