Liaoning Sees Machine Tool Export Expansion at Lower Price
Liaoning, a province in northeast China, sees its export of machine tools expand at lower prices last year.
According to statistics from the CIQ of Shenyang, a city in the province, Liaoning exported a total of 21,600 units of metal working machine tools at a total value of US$146 million. These represented a large increase of 118% in quantity but a mere 50.2% growth in value.
In terms of trading form, export of ordinary trade amounted US$88.14 million with averaged unit price at US$4,728.6. Export of processing trade, on the other hand, was US$56.09 million with averaged unit price at US$19,652.
Product-wise, Chinese state-owned enterprises mainly exported other horizontal lathes, CNC horizontal lathes, other drilling machines, and vertical machining centers. Exports of enterprises with foreign investment were mainly CNC horizontal lathes.
The averaged unit price of exported machine tools from Chinese state-owned enterprises were US$9,252, whereas that from enterprises with foreign investment was US$20,945.
