Leadscrew Actuators Tolerate Dust and Dirt
Ondrives has a number of different leadscrew actuators available as standard from its comprehensive 937 page mechanical drive components catalogue. The first model is an extremely low profile linear unit with leadscrew drive made for adjustment and handling tasks in particular. The compact low profile aluminium body guarantees extreme stiffness.
The bearing units are provided with maintenance-free Iglidur materials, which results in complete freedom from lubrication.The system works reliably under extreme environmental conditions like dust, dirt and humidity.The stepless drive can be manually operated or motor driven.
Strokes available vary from 100 up to 1000mm with a lead of 2mm and overall leadscrew speed of 500rev/min.The remaining actuators included in this range are an in-house version.Light, medium and high load versions are available.
All are anti-backlash and the bases are compatible with the modular system also sold by Ondrives along with any number of flexible couplings to suit.Couplings can be bored to suit motor requirements for a small extra cost.Leads range from 2 to 50mm and travel varies from 190mm on the light duty version to 485mm on the medium and 512mm on the high load.All therefore have a lead accuracy of 0.0006mm/m and are relatively lightweight ranging from 1.3kg to 12kg.
