Last week, SKF entered the world of smart phone applications with it's first Apple Application release.

It is now available from the iTunes Application store. The application is identical to our very popular Belt drive design program for PC's. As far as we know, It is the first of its kind to design and check belt drives in the field using a smart phone.


Application Summary



Maybe you don't want to break your back by carrying your laptop but would always have your phone.

It completely takes away the need for on line connections as a completely stand alone application apart from a batch update of stock data.

In other words, It is now possible for field engineers and technical sales people to check how well an existing belt drive is designed and if not, propose 100+ alternative solutions in a matter of seconds. You can E-mail as a PDF report, including drawings and installation instructions straight from site even in the most remote places.

The application today have language support for English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian Czech and Greek, more modules will be added during the next months.

Please find Installation steps below:

1) First you should have Apple ID already created (https://appleid.apple.com)

2) On your device (iPhone/iPad/iPod) click on "App Store" icon

2) Choose "Categories" and "Business"

3) To find it the App, please use search option and keyword "skf" or "belt".

4) "SKF Belt Calc" should be on the first or second page.

5) Click on "Free" button to install application
