On Jun 16, 2006, SKF staff and customers gathered together in Jinqiao, Pudong, Shanghai to celebrate the inauguration of SKF Precision Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd (also known as SKF Spindle Service Center, abb. SSC). A grand unveiling ceremony was hosted by Bee Kek Chng, Managing Director of SKF China Ltd and Daniel Bru, Director Machine Tool, who also addressed speeches.
Spindle service is a new business area that SKF launched in China. SKF spindle service network covers fifteen centers all over the world. SKF China spindle service center entered into China Market in 2005, which brought on stop maintenance service to China, and can provide full ranges of services such as repair, maintenance, test and upgrading services no matter what brand and what structure the target spindles are. Since it was put into operation it has established wide cooperation with many automotive customers and famous machine tool group such as General Motor to help them solve the machine tool spindle problems in local China.
