At this year’s Interplas exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, taking place between 30 September and 2 October 2014, Igus will present food-grade Tribo tape, maintenance-free plain, spherical and linear bearings and self-lubricating energy chains and Chainflex cables.
According to the company, one of the main highlights at the Igus stand will be the unveiling of its Tribo tape material, made from tribologically optimised, food-grade Iglidur A160 material, which is coloured blue for easy identification.
Designed to reduce wear in a range of applications, thanks to its low friction and abrasion values, the Tribo tape has maintenance-free dry-running properties to improve sliding surfaces wherever required.
Igus will also be showcasing its full service offering. With its Speedigus range of manufacturing services, Igus can offer engineers solutions from concept or prototype to full-production volume parts.
Also featured on the stand will be Igus’s latest stock plates, which increase design flexibility for engineers when customising special parts, a range of energy chains, which are fabricated from high-performance plastics, and Igus’s Chainflex cables, which have been specially developed with constantly moving applications in mind.
