Igus set to exhibit maintenance-free products at Advanced Engineering Show 2013

Igus will be showcasing its high-performance tribo-polymer bearings, stock plates, cable management system and more at the Advanced Engineering Show on stand G101.

Visitors to the stand will be able to see live demonstrations of its maintenance-free products, including new stock plates and an e-spool cable management system. There will also be the opportunity of meeting experts to learn how to optimise processes and reduce costs through the use of plastic components.

The E-spool is a next-generation compact cable-management system that has been designed in response to customer demand for a product that is more flexible than traditional cable drums. The stock plates have been developed to increase design flexibility for engineers when customising special parts.

E-spool
* Enables users to guide many different cable and hose types, for example power, BUS, data and even fibre optics, in one single compact system
* Robust, yet quick and easy to install
* Provides cables reliably in any direction for travel up to 14m
* Offers reliable operation for a wide range of lifting and moving applications

Stock plates
* Designers can obtain machined parts such as wear plates and strips easily and cost-effectively with less waste
* Comes in sheets rather than the standard round bars
* Available in a variety of thicknesses from 2mm to 25mm
* Made from Iglidur J material, which boasts low coefficients of friction in dry operation, low moisture absorption, wear and chemical resistance while requiring absolutely no maintenance
* Stock plate material is also suitable for parts that need to withstand temperatures from -50 °C to 120 ºC
