Igus has extended its range of dimensional series E Igubal rod end bearings with the introduction of the EBRM-16 V.
By inserting a steel reinforcement into its Igubal rod end bearing, the company claims that it has increased the tensile load capability by up to 50 per cent compared to its pure plastic versions.
'Able to handle tensile loads up to 15kN, designers can replace steel rod end bearings with corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free Igubal alternatives,' said Matthew Aldridge of Igus UK.
Typical examples of where Igubal high-tensile rod ends can be employed include link arms and barriers used outside, particularly in solar power systems and facades, as well as pneumatic cylinders and drive mechanisms.
