Igus demonstrates its range of plain, spherical and linear bearings at Subcon 2013 exhibition

Igus is currently exhibiting its maintenance-free bearings at Subcon 2013, which runs until 6 June 2013 at the NEC in Birmingham.

Visitors to Stand G20 in Hall 3 will be able to see live demonstrations of Igus's range of plain, spherical and linear bearings.

Products and services

Iglidur plastic bearings
These are designed to be reliable, maintenance free and cost effective.
They offer high wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction and can replace more costly alternatives in a variety of applications.
The plastic bearings are chemical and corrosion resistant.
They do not require any lubrication, enabling engineers to improve the uptime of equipment and to reduce maintenance and lubrications costs.

Drylin E actuators with polymer bearings and NEMA-certified motors
These linear drives are lubricant and maintenance free, compact and extremely light and quiet.
The Drylin E SAW-0630 linear axis is said to be ideal for simple adjustments, feed movements and the handling of lightweight components.
The SAW-0630 is available with a trapezoidal or high-helix thread leadscrew and offers pitches from 1.5mm to 15mm.

Speedigus manufacturing services
Igus can offer designers solutions ranging from concept or prototype or from low-volume to high-volume parts.
The Speedigus offering includes Speedimold, a rapid prototyping and injection moulding service, Speedicut, a rapid machining service, and Speedifit, which makes it as easy as possible for customers to realise cost-effective bespoke solutions.
Speedifit is a new manufacturing service that supplies bespoke complete bearing assemblies, enabling customers to save time and money.
