SKF has launched a low-cost, easy-to-use digital camera offering thermal and 2 megapixel visual imaging, suitable for use by maintenance technicians with limited of thermal imaging.
The SKF TKTI 10 thermal camera has the appearance of a digital camera and operates in a similar way but with a feature that allows thermal and visual images to be blended for easy image interpretation.
Using proprietary array-based detector (ABD) technology, images are easily viewed on a large backlit 3.5in screen, and can be saved to a micro SD card.
Unlike low-end thermal imagers, two spot temperatures can be displayed on the screen and these can be independently moved to an area of interest.
For experienced thermographers, the camera also has auto temperature ranging, eight colour pallets, able emissivity, reflected temperature compensation, hot and cold spot finding, temperature area measurement, automatic and user-able level and span, isotherm display, temperature gradients, and user-able temperature units and image browser.
The main areas of application for which the TKTI 10 can be used include electrical, industrial, automotive, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, building services, and the food sector.
The camera is supplied complete with all accessories and software in a padded carrying case.
