Huge Bearing Rotate Huge Ferris Wheel(pic)
Jan. 9, the huge bearing whose diameter reach 3.5 meters were delivered from Germany to Tianjin where a huge ferris wheel above Cihai Bridge is under construction.

Now the reverse "Y" shape bracket has been completed and the wheel will be assembled shortly. The whole construction of the Cihai Bridge is going to be finished in late May. Then, the huge ferris wheel with diameter over 110 meters would rotate in the city of Tianjin.
According to the designer of Cihai Bridge, this is the only bridge in the world integrated with a ferris wheel. Given the great weight of the huge wheel, the critical bearings must be able to carry extremely heavy load. Therefore, the contractor of this construction ordered the huge bearings from Germany.
Besides, to assemble such a huge wheel is also a hard work. As was informed, the wheel will be first divided into 24 equal parts, then assembly each parts individually. Finally, each parts will be put together.
