GGB Offers New PTFE-based, Metal-polymer Plain Bearings

GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, now offers new PTFE-based, metal-polymer plain bearings specially designed to provide improved dry wear performance in high frequency, low amplitude oscillating applications.

Called DP11™, the bearings feature a steel backing onto which is sintered a porous bronze interlayer impregnated and overlaid with a bearing layer composed of PTFE with solid lubricant and fillers. The proprietary formulation and processing of the bearing layer provides enhanced, low friction bearing performance, and the steel backing provides mechanical strength.

The bearings comply with the European Union directive 2000/53/EC
