General Instructions of Slewing Bearing Installation
The transportation and storage
1.Transportation
The slewing bearing shall be preferably supported on a flat surface in the horizontal position during the transportation Impact and severe shaking must be avoided. The eyebolts are to be screwed on the transporting holes on inner ring or outer ring in order to lift the slewing bearing to the installing site.
Storage
(1)Be sure not to open the package before using the slewing bearing during the period of anti-rusting (within 12 months after the bearing leaving factory). The slewing bearing should be cleaned and anti-rusted again if they are continued to be stored after the package damaging or the period of anti-rusting exceeded.
(2)The slewing bearing shall be placed horizontally on the ground under dry envirenment condition.
(3)The slewing bearing shall be stored keep away from chemicals and other corrosive materials.
(4)If several slewing bearings of equal size are to be stored they should be stacked, in the horizontal position with equal in size dividing blocks at a minimum 120 degrees around the top and bottom of the corresponding surfaces of each bearing.
Installation of the slewing bearing
1.Preparation for installing
(1) Prior to installation a close inspection should be performed on the supporting surface so as to ensure that upper and lower mounting surfaces are flat level and parallel to each other, the support seat should be stress relieved after the completion of all the welding process and machining should be done on the mounting surfaces, these surfaces should be free from burrs or any other contaminant that could cause distortion or misalignment between the inner and outer ring when mounted to their corresponding surfaces. The support seat surfaces themselves should have sufficient rigidity and the technical specification of the connection surface shall conform to the specification stipulated on the table 1.
(2) If the radial load of the slewing bearing carried over 10% of the axial load, radial locating should be required. The injection moulding should be taken on the connection surfaces which can not be machined to have these surfaces into flat, so as to avoid the bearing distortion caused by the uneven support seat surface after tightening the bolts.
(3) Prior to installation, be sure to avoid the seal damage when open the package and prevent any dust or other contaminant into the slewing bearing.

Note: The figures indicated in the table 1 are the maximum value, only one wave crest reach this value at 180°section is allowable, and rise or down stable at 0°-90°-180°section. Rise or down abruptly is not allowable.
(4)The mounting supporting seat should also have favorable rigidity. Under the maximum permissible load, the deflection deformation shall be controlled as per talbe 2 .
