FAG bearings grinding force formation of metamorphic layers

In the grinding process, the workpiece surface layer will be grinding wheel cutting force, the role of compression and friction. Especially for the latter role, the workpiece surface layer formed directional strong plastic deformation and hardening layers. These metamorphic layers must inevitably affect the changes of surface residual stress of FAG bearings.
(1) cold plastic deformation of layers

(3) the FAG bearing machining of hardened layer
Sometimes micro-hardness and metallographic law can be found, due to deformation of the surface layer hardness up.
In addition to grinding, casting and heat treatment caused by surface decarburization layer, and then later in the process if they have been completely, were left in the workpiece surface will also result in softening the surface deterioration, leading to early failure of the bearing.
