Export of Fastener Products in Jiaxing Gradually Warms up

The product export of the fastener enterprises in Zhejiang Jiaxing gradually warms up, which have encountered the unprecedented challenge in 2009. According to Jiaxing Fastener Import & Export Enterprise Association, the fierce rising and fall of the steel price in 2009, the continuously expanding financial crisis and the anti-dumping policies of Europe and the U.S., etc have brought the production of the fastener enterprises into deep end. The total import & export of fastener products in Jiaxing was 529.28 million US dollars in 2009 and the decreasing percentage 33 percentage point higher then that of the whole city. However, as the economic situation is getting well, the import and export of the city stops dropping and goes to steady. Since October, 2009, the decreasing percentage of the fastener export of the city has gradually become smaller and the percentage of the export to the new market has risen.

About 2010, Jiaxing Fastener Import & Export Enterprise Association is not pessimistic because of the following reason:

First, the financial crisis has gradually waned, and the effect of the government polices gradually has emerged.

Second, the confidence of Jiaxing fastener industry in facing up the international trade friction has greatly increased. It is learned that China fastener enterprises including those in Jiaxing have actively litigated American anti-dumping investigation to China carbon steel fastener and succeeded, which became the only case that China fastener industry succeeded since it has encountered the trade remedy investigation.

Besides, the export refund rate is expected to rise.
