EnPro Industries Responds to Civil Complaint by Justice Department

/PRNewswire/ -- EnPro Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NPO) issued the following statement in response to a civil complaint filed on September 30, 2010 by the United States Department of Justice against EnPro's Coltec Industries subsidiary:

The Fairbanks Morse marine diesel engines in question were fully compliant with all air emission requirements. The Department of Justice's complaint concerns only a minor issue regarding labeling of the engines, and the amounts sought to resolve the complaint would not be material to EnPro's results or to the results of its Fairbanks Morse Engine business. However, EnPro and Fairbanks Morse strongly disagree with the position taken by the Department and Coltec and Fairbanks Morse intend to vigorously defend themselves in the matter.

EnPro Industries, Inc. is a leader in sealing products, metal polymer and filament wound bearings, components and service for reciprocating compressors, diesel and dual-fuel engines and other engineered products for use in critical applications by industries worldwide.
