Economic Operation in Automotive Industry from January to April in 2012

In April 2012, the link relative ratio of China's automobile production and sales slightly dropped, but the year-on-year increase was significant. From January to April, the automobile production became positive growth from the negative growth to positive growth in the first quarter, and the decreasing amplitude in sales also further narrowed.

According to the statistics from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the national automobile production and sales in April were 1.6476 million and 1.6244 million units, decreased by 12.39% and 11.65% respectively in terms of the link relative ratio; the production and sales increased by 7.81% and 5.19% respectively on year-on-year basis.

From January to April, the production and sales of automobiles were 6.4319 million and 6.4175 million units, wherein, the production increased by 0.47%, and the sales decreased by 1.33%.
