The II Steel Making Plant of Dongbei Special Steel Group Beiman Special Steel has brokenthrough the technical bottleneck by the optimization of process parameters and equipment modification, thus 0 # electroslag furnace achieved one billet for an ingot. This plant mainly produce ingots for 2.5t-3.2t carburizing bearing steel, and other types of bearing steel.

It is reported that carburizing bearing steel has been the key variety for Beiman Special Steel. With the changes of market demand, production requirements of carburizing bearing steel are gradually increased, meanwhile one billet for an ingot was also contained among products technical conditions.

In order to fully develop the potential of stove, the relevant staff in the steel making plant made measurement and processing adjustment for arm stroke, false electrode length and Beixing stock length, ultimately began to produce 3t ESR ingots after successfully completed the trial production in this April. And in May, the scheduling carburizing bearing steel in II Steel Making Plant was 65 tons. At present, GCr15 carburizing bearing steel with the spindle type of 3.1 ton is undergoing the remelting.
