Domestic First Major Technical Equipment Manufacturing Base is to settle in Deyang

The plaque awarding ceremony for domestic first major technical and equipment manufacturing base was held in Deyang on January 6, 2013. The awarding party China Association of Plant Engineering signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the related department of Deyang City, according to which, the two sides will work hard for win-win co-operation on the aspects including the strategic development planning and scientific and technical support, capital introduction, talent training and national and international cooperation and exchange, and accelerate the construction of Deyang into a major technical equipment manufacturing of international competitiveness. The related department of Deyang City expressed that they will view this awarding as an opportunity to increase support to equipment manufacturing enterprises.

Currently, 60% of the country's nuclear power products, 40% of the hydropower units, 30% of the thermal power units, 50% of large rolling equipment, and 20% of large marine castings and forgings are manufactured in Deyang, which has makes Deyang an important manufacturing base of major technical equipment and one of the top three power equipment manufacturing bases in China. At the end of last year, there are 1470 equipment manufacturing enterprises in Deyang, wherein, the equipment manufacturing enterprises above designated size have realized an annual output value of 101.8 billion yuan.
