Delphi's Localization in China 2006

As we know that Delphi's businesses in American is in a real depression, but their profitability in China is still strong. In last week, Quan chunze, Korean vice president of Global Delphi and president of Delphi Aisa, said that it will be in 2006 when Delphi begin their scaled localization in China and the soul of this localization is the management's localization.

According to Quan chunze, Delphi's localization includes the following aspects: First, localization of supplier, namely, seeking cooperation with Chinese suppliers; then, localizing the production, which means moving more assembly lines to China; the last, alos the most important one, is the localization of the management.

"Training Chinese staffs to be qualified professional executives, only by this way, can Delphi become really localized and more competitive in China." said Mr.Quan chunze.

By the end of 2005, acquisition between Wanxiang Group and Delphi became the hottest topic. However, the Delphi never response to that the topic directly since the issue arised last year. In an interview several days ago, Jiang jian, vice GM of Delphi Automobile System Investment China, said that divesting some of Delphi's businesses had been put into schedule, so it is nothing surprised to see acquisition between Delphi and some other enterprises from China or other countries.

Si.Tu yulin, vice president of Delphi China, told the media that they have heard about Wanxiang Group and know something about them. As a auto parts supplier, Wanxiang does a good job. Supplier like Wanxiang is what Delphi needed.

In addition, Delphi also will enhance their development and research ability to adapt to the increasingly improved demand, especially for the demand of auto parts for compact cars.
