Dana Executive to Discuss Megatrends, Future of Mobility at Key European Event

Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) announced on Jun 20 that Peter Cirulis, president, European operations, is participating as a speaker at the 2012 Automotive News Europe Congress.

Taking place June 21 in Monte Carlo, Monaco, the Automotive News Europe Congress is considered one of the most important automotive industry conferences in Europe. Established in 1997, the event provides a comprehensive perspective of the industry's big issues through a series of keynote addresses, top-level presentations, and panel discussions. Some 350 people from 25 countries are expected to attend.

As part of a four-person panel, Cirulis will address "Megatrends and Mobility 3.0." His presentation will center around three current megatrends being followed by Dana, and how these megatrends are impacting the future of mobility.

He will also touch briefly on the technologies Dana is working on to ensure it is ready to meet its customers' current and future needs. Among these technologies is the company's active and passive warm-up technology, which improves fuel efficiency by up to 4 percent. This innovation was a collaborative effort between Dana and Ford Motor Company, and received an Automotive News PACE Innovative Partnership Award earlier this year.

"The megatrends are showing us that mobility 3.0 will require the industry to really think outside the box, and to explore new partnerships and new business models," said Dana President and Chief Executive Officer Roger J. Wood, "We are also aware that a megatrend can be a moving target, so we need to be in sync with our customers to ensure our drivetrain, sealing, and thermal-management technologies meet the needs of the marketplace today and in the future."
