In order to solve the shrinkage cavity problem on large pole special steel for over-heating, with the cooperation of its Quality Department, Blooming Rolling Plant and Technological Center and after the quality analysis and small serial experiments for many times, Dalian Special Steel Company discovered that the low temperature rolling process plays important role in improving the shrinkage cavity on special steel for over-heating on the condition that the smelting and casting process is stable. Since September, the Quality Department and the Blooming Rolling Plant has tracked the rolling process of large pole special steel and further validated that the low temperature rolling process can restrict the generation of shrinkage cavity for over-heating.
Through temperature control, 1241 pieces of large pole special steel were produced in September, and the qualified ratio of flaw detection reached 98.71%, which improved 6.89% based on that in August.
