Daido Metal Closing Bellefontaine Plant, Cutting 290

A Japanese manufacturer plans to close its Bellefontaine factory in July, eliminating 290 jobs.

Daido Metal Bellefontaine LLC said in a filing this week with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services that its plant on Greenwood Street in the northwest Ohio city will shut July 1. The company is part of Japan
