Cross-Straits Precision Machinery Cooperation and Exchange Conference Held in Nanjing

On Oct. 12th, 2010, the Cross-Straits Precision Machinery Industrial Cooperation and Exchange Conference was held in Nanjing. About 100 representatives of the enterprises and research institutes in Taiwan machine tool, medical machinery and electronic and mechanical industry as well as about 300 representatives of the enterprises and research institutes from machine tool, instruments, bearings and cam followers industry in China mainland have participated in the conference. Wang Ruixiang, the Chairman of China Machinery Industry Federation(CMIF), Lu Renqi, the Deputy Executive Director of CMIA, Zhao Chi, the Deputy Executive Director and Secretary of CMIF as weill as Wu Mingji, the Director of Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, Xu Xiucang, the Chairman of Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry(TAMI), Wang Zhengqing, the Director-general of TAMI and the leaders from Jiangsu Provincial Machinery Industry Federation were also presented at the conference.

The conference was held under the background that China mainland and Taiwan has signed the "Cross-straits Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement(ECFA). The cross-straits representatives made use of this platform to discuss about development direction of cross-straits precision machinery industry and develop the communication and cooperation as well as the ways to achieve win-win.

On the topic forum, Qiu Longsheng from Keyarrow (Taiwan) Co., Ltd., An Zhongde from China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Center, and Yang Zhisheng from HIWIN Technologies Corp. have delivered speech on development situation and prospect of machinery parts and components, as well as intelligent equipment and its advanced manufacturing technology, etc.

On the conference, the cross-straits industrial assoications, enterprises and research institutes have also signed several cooperation agreement seperately.
