Continent & Xinchun, A Black Horse in Chinese Bearing Industry
Recently, the National Working Conference of Bearing Enterprise was held in Beijing. Purpose of the conference is to make a plan for development of this industry during the 11th Five-Year Plan (2006-2010) period. During the conference, CBIA(China Bearing Industrial Association), the host, commended 30 advanced enterprises who have made substantial achievements during the 10th Five-Year Plan (2001-2005) period. Continents & Xinchun Group(CXG) was one of them.
Bearing industry in China developed rapidly during the 10th Five-Year. In 2005, total output of bearings were 6 billion sets, 2.26 times more than the previous year; sales hit RMB52 billion, increased by 89%. As a result, China had ranked third in output value of bearings, following Japan and Sweden.
At that moment, with abilities of innovation, fast-growing and well-management, a group of bearing enterprises emerged in China, becoming the main force to drive the industry. CXG is a leading company among them.
Adhereing to the guide line of "Cost reduction, incorporating more related spare parts producer, concentrating on segmentation market", CXG began to enter international market by developing cost effective high end bearings.
In the course of 10th Five-Year, CXG finished 1 project of National Torch Plan, 2 projects of provincial innovation award and 5 other technical reforming projects with provincial, municipal awards.
Now, CXG have acquired productive technologies equivalent to world advanced level, being a black horse.
