2016 is an important anniversary for Condat Corporation who is celebrating 20 years of manufacturing in North America. The company is well known for its expertise in manufacturing high performance lubricants for various industrial markets including wire drawing, metalworking, cold heading, hot forming (forge and foundry), tube, maintenance and glass. The company's success stems from the ability to recommend to its customer base the optimum lubricant solutions, based on performance, economic and environmental constraints.
A wholly owned subsidiary of the French international Condat Group (created in 1854), Condat Corporation started production in 1996 following the acquisition of Petro-Lube, based in Whitmore Lake, MI. In 2000, a new state-of the-art manufacturing facility was established on a green field site in Saline, Michigan. Since that time, the company has grown gradually through acquisitions in the wire drawing business (specific business sectors from Richards-Apex, Henkel and Wirelube Research) and has seen expansion of its production unit to meet the ever increasing demands of its customers.
Initially concentrated on wire drawing lubricant production, Condat Corp. has since developed its business by expanding into metalworking, cold heading and hot forming (forge and foundry) lubricants. Today, Condat Corp. supplies an extensive range of lubricants covering a wide variety of industrial markets.
The company is planning the next stage of its operations expansion project, commencing mid-2016. These improvements will include a doubling of the laboratory facilities (to better serve customers’ needs), followed by planned expansion of the manufacturing and warehousing capabilities, due for completion in 2017.
