CJ Composite Bearings Ensure Boating Safety

Tristar's CJ composite bearings are suitable for use by marine manufacturers in order to ensure boating safety.

A 'thruster' - or underwater propeller unit - generates a quick motion by accelerating seawater backwards or forwards to move a boat.

The CJ bearings are mounted on the bow and/or stern thrusters of a boat, providing enhanced mobility.

With the bearings incorporated into a thruster, boaters can manoeuvre in a sideways motion - instead of just back and forth - facilitating docking for landing and refuelling.

The thrusters are controlled through a vessel's joystick and require very little maintenance.

CJs can accommodate a high-load capacity with a compact strength-to-weight ratio.

The bearings are also self lubricating, corrosion resistant and come in a flexible design that can be customised for thickness.

CJ bearings operate in temperatures ranging from a high of +300F to lows reaching cryogenic levels.
