CIMT 2009 Open to Exhibit Some 1,000 Machine Tools

Organized by the China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA), the six-day 11th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT 2009)
staged from April 6-11.

More than 1,200 machine tool manufacturers from 28 countries and regions are showcasing more than 1,000 machine tools on their booths. It is
remarkable that the number of high-end machine tools, featuring multi-axis, high precision, high speed, and combined processing functions, are far more than the status in past editions.

In particular, there are more than 100 CNC machine tools on site, featuring four/five-axis, spindle speed at 10,000 rpm or above, positioning precision at less than 0.008 mm, positioning repeatability at less than 0.004mm. A number of the innovations are developed domestically in China.
