Chinese Measures to Help Machinery Exports

According to Mr Jiang Yaoping undersecretary of MoC, China's machinery & electronic products export had witnessed new record decreases of 4.8%, 8.2% and 20.9% in consecutive three months since 20 years ago.

Thus, Ministry of Commerce would take 6 measures to reverse the downtrend of machinery & electronic products export in 2009. The measures are as follows

1. Adjust and perfect policy so as to stabilize the export of machinery & electronic products

2. Push the export structure adjustment by speeding up export base construction

3. Optimize import structure as well as enlarging the import of advanced technique, facility and key components

4. Stick to processing trading policy adjustment

5. Control well export and defend state security

6. To deepen industry service

According to statistics, import & export value for Jan totaled at USD 75.34 billion down by 18.4%YoY. Among others, the value of export was at USD 49.14 billion down by 20.9%, taking up 54.3% of the total export of foreign trade.
