China to Reduce Grinding Machine Trade Deficit

China should reduce its trade deficit in grinding machines, an industry insider is quoted as saying in a news report by China Industry News.

Chairman Xu Yusheng of China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA), who is also President of Shanghai Machine Tool Works Ltd (SMTWL), said at the fourth general meeting of the Grinding Machine Sub-Council of CMTBA that China not only has to reduce its imports of grinding machines, but also increase its exports.

It could be done through the development of high-end CNC grinding machines, he added. That means the industry has to put in more efforts in innovation, establish reputable enterprises, and build high-quality products.

The fourth general meeting of the Grinding Machine Sub-Council of CMTBA was held recently in Shanghai.
