China's Import of Metalworking Machine Tools Down 9.3% in the First Ten Months

China's import volume of metalworking machine tools has seen a drop of 9.3% to 77,831 units in the first 10 months of 2008, while import value rose 12.7% year on year to US$6,424,347,000 in the period, according to latest statistics released by China Customs.

For October, China's import of metalworking machine tools amounted to 6,679 units, valued at US$701,843,000.
