China's Expenditure on Imported Metalworking Machine Tools Up in the First 11 Months

China spent more money on imported metalworking machine tools during the period of January to November, according a recently released statistics by China Customs.

In the first 11 months of 2008, the total imported metalworking machine tools amounted to 82,927 units, down 13.2% year on year; while the value totaled US$6962.511 million, up 9.9% year on year.

During November, China imported 5,038 units of metalworking machine tools with a total valued at US$540.807 million.
