China Metalworking Machine Tool and Accesseries Exports Up 33.4% Year-on-year In First 10 Months

China totally exported US$2209 million worth of metalworking machine tools and accessories in the first 10 months this year, up 33.4% from a year ago, according to statistics from China Customs.

Of this sum, saw machines and cutters contributed US$152 million, up 16.3% year on year; CNC horizontal lathe contributed US$114 million, with sales of 5,456 units, up 74.9% and 64% respectively.

In terms of import, the value of metalworking machine tools and accessories China imported amounted to US$6.03 billion, down 2.5% from a year ago. For October alone, China totally imported US$597 million in value, up 1.8% year on year, while exports totaled US$233 million, up 29% year on year.
