China Developing Multi-axis Coordinated Gantry Machining Center
In Dalian City in northeast China, a CNC machining center development project is in its final adjustment and testing stage.
The project is jointly undertaken by Dalian University of Technology, CNC system developer Gona, machine tool builder Dalian Machine Tool
Group (DMTG), and machine tool functional parts manufacturer Dalian Golden CNC Group.
The multi-axis coordinated gantry machining center being developed will use Chinese proprietary CNC system with digital Can-BUS. Thanks to this CNC system developed by Gona, the machining precision and efficiency will be raised by five to 10 times, compared with traditional analog CNC systems.
The project is recently awarded RMB50 million under the National Key Technology R&D Program of China.
