The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, has released its FY2008 Preliminary CDSOA Amounts Available as of 4/30/2008. CDSOA is the Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act of 2000. It requires that antidumping duties and tariffs be accumulated through the fiscal year, then paid out to individual companies in the affected industries.
The total collected this fiscal year to date is more than USD $42 million.
Since its inception in 2000, among all claimants, the U.S. bearing manufacturing industry has received the largest share of CDSOA payouts.
