Boca Bearings Sponsored RC Driver Tyler DeLong is Racing for a Cause

Tyler has participated in the 2011 Nitro Challenge that took place past weekend in Arizona. After three rounds of qualifying, Tyler was qualified 4th overall for open 1/8 buggy. There were 120+ racers in this class.

The main event was set with a very tough track as all the rain the night before left the track flooded for most of the day and although dry for the main event, it was still very rutted and tough for all the racers. Tyler drove a great race up until the half way mark of the 45 minute main event when his right rear tire came un-clued while running in third. We had to do a un-planned pit stop and change his tires which then put him in 7th place. He then battled back and salvaged a 5th place finish. All in all a great finish!
