The entry level kit #FR-223 ECONO Power is the most affordable of the three kits available. These bearings are ABEC5 stainless steel bearings with steel races, balls, retainers and shields. All ECONO fishing reel bearings are supplied dry with no lube or grease. Lube can be added upon request. The second option would be the #FR-223C-Y a ceramic lightning fishing reel kit. The ABEC5 bearings have ceramic balls, stainless steel races, retainers and shields.

However, the secret weapons of any serious angler are the orange seal ceramic bearings in the upgrade kit #FR-223C-OS LD. These ceramic hybrid bearings have stainless steel races, retainers and ceramic balls. Additionally, the bearings come with a non-contact rubber seal which allows the balls to spin freely without any excess drag. Ceramic will never corrode, has less rolling resistance and is lighter than steel. As a result the ceramic bearings cast longer. These bearings are ABEC7 precision bearings, they are cleaned of oil and grease and are lube dry.
