Bison Gear named to Chicago's 101 Best & Brightest Companies

Electric motor manufacturer Bison Gear & Engineering Corp. has been selected one of Chicago's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For. The Best and Brightest awards were established to honor those companies that recognize employees as their greatest asset. The 2007 awards recognize companies that work with imagination and conviction to create organizational value and business results through their policies and Best Practices in human resource management.

"Bison would not be in this unique position without the dedication and the determined pursuit of excellence our associates have expressed. We are extremely proud to receive this award and to be included with the other recipients as an ideal place for employees to work," said Martin Swarbrick, President and COO of Bison Gear & Engineering.

Best and Brightest nominees are reviewed by a panel of judges looking for a unique thought process with top support from senior management and policy makers. They are looking for above average programs, services and solutions for employees. Bison Gear's Skilled Workforce Initiative, a joint program with other manufacturers, economic development organizations and educational institutions is an example of a program which remedies the shortage of qualified entry level employees in manufacturing.

Bison will be honored with the other recipients at an awards ceremony on August 6 at the Chicago Marriott in Oak Brook, Illinois.
