GGB Bearing Technology, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, announced today that it has no connection with UMAX BY s.r.o., which has been presenting itself as a distributor for GGB products in the Republic of Belarus and the Czech Republic.
“UMAX BY is not now, nor has it ever been authorized as a distributor for GGB products, notwithstanding the fact that they purport to offer GGB products on their website", said Alain Cervantes, GGB Vice President of Global Marketing. “These include our DU®, DU-B™, DP4™, DP31™, DS™, DX® and Hi-EX® metal-polymer products; our complete line of solid polymer materials; our GAR-MAX®, GAR-FIL® and HSG™ (High-Strength GAR-MAX®) bearings; our SY™ and SP™ bimetallic bearings and other products.”
“It should be noted that these products are not supplied by GGB, which means that they might not be authentic.”
