Bel-Ray Food-Grade Lubricant Approved for Clean Industry Applications

Bel-Ray's No-Tox Food Grade Dry PTFE Spray recently received NSF-H1 approval for use in "clean industry" applications. The new multi-purpose, dry-film lubricant meets FDA requirements for incidental food contact and is recognized as compliant under the Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) criteria established in California's Consumer Products Regulation by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the proposed VOC limits by the Ozone Transport Commission (OTC) for lubricants classified as a "dry lubricant."

Safe for industries where molybdenum and graphite are not allowed, No-Tox Food Grade Dry PTFE Spray is designed for "incidental contact" lubrication applications in food processing, food preparation, pharmaceutical processing, personal care processing and other industries requiring "clean" applications.

The user-friendly formula does not affect plastic or painted surfaces while also being non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-irritating. It offers dry-film lubrication that remains water-resistant after application. Uses include lubrication of bearings, slide ways, conveyors, cams, hinges and other locations where a clean, durable, long-lasting film is required.

"We're pleased to add this product to our portfolio of food-grade lubricants," said Jennifer Liquori, chief operating officer at Bel-Ray. "This new No-Tox Food Grade Dry PTFE Spray will not only reduce friction and wear in 'clean industry' machinery but will also help to decrease the energy consumption of this same equipment."
